Emma Okyere is the Founder of Modern Natured, a sustainable luxury brand, and an experienced Executive Product Manager with expertise in product development, fashion design, and product innovation strategy. With a strong background in Agile methodologies as a Certified SAFe POPM, Emma has successfully led the development of products across diverse industries, including beauty, fashion, and tech.
Emma’s career includes 12 years at Bronner Bros, where she played a pivotal role in the creation of over 60 products, from ideation to market. Among her key achievements during this time were the development of Tropical Roots® and 4 Naturals®, both of which became cornerstone brands. Her expertise spans product development, product management, ideation, branding, marketing, UI/UX design, and digital strategy. Emma’s leadership in the development of multiple product lines has been instrumental in delivering consumer-centric products to the global market. From collaborating with chemists to ensuring compliance with international regulations, her approach to product management ensures high-quality, market-ready results. Emma’s attention to detail and holistic vision has resulted in successful product launches and sustainable growth for the brands she’s worked with.
As a fashion designer, Emma merges her creative passion with her expertise in sustainability and design thinking. She leads Modern Natured with a focus on blending innovation with cultural heritage, creating eco-conscious and functional luxury fashion pieces. Her work has been featured in British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Forbes, Elle, and more.
Emma’s vision was also recognized at the BRICS Fashion Summit 2024, where she represented the USA. She showcased her collection at the Zaryadye Moscow Concert Hall, which was met with enthusiastic feedback from an international audience. Emma's leadership extended to the Innovation in Motion workshop, where she discussed how technology can transform product management in luxury fashion without compromising craftsmanship at the BRICSFashion Summit.
Emma also led an internship program in collaboration with the University of Ghana, which provided students with hands-on experience in product management and branding. Through the use of tools like Asana, Google Suite, Slack, and Kanban boards, the program fostered a collaborative learning environment, enabling interns to develop skills that would serve them well in their future careers. The program’s success was evident, with 85.7% of interns expressing their willingness to recommend the program.
